Dazed from her ordeal, Rumblebrand lay in a near-coma, quietly letting the last of the spells dissipate from her physical body. She slowly raised her head, her brow beaded with sweat and her once handsome features contorted with pain. The tears of all around her continued unabated as her eyes rose to meet those of the Lich overlord, and her soul was filled with dreadful expectation. The she raised a shaking hand in greeting, and hissed, "All that I knew of death I knew from the Lich Empyrean."
The lich cackled with maniacal glee as his reign began, and it was the beginning of the nightmare assault by the Lich on the world. The lich described his plan: his master begins an all-out war that will cover millions of acres, for next to nothing, with almost no casualties and no advances. "His armies will rain fire and brimstone across the land, setting the world afire, and he will enslave every living soul across the globe. His minions will carry out his will in the onslaught, and the glory of Ruin will be his."
Ruin was a pixie wizard of a more diabolical bent than the lich, nearing its destructive victory. He had learned very recently that the lich did not have long to live, and he could be out of his cage any day starting a war of total annihilation. The lich's plan was to strip the world down to the barest minimum, 100,000 or so humans, and all the animals. With the population, all forms of technology or magic, and most of beasts, insects and flora would be stripped out of the earth. Then he would plant the earth with his own kind, probably out of the dregs of society, so an even more efficient slave race could be culled from the topmost percent of the species.
After that, he would convert the topmost percent into his thralls, which would act as slave laborers for him until he had good use for them. Then he would unleash his hordes of golems to destroy the planet.
These works are simply phenomenal along with their leading off track "When a Man Loves a Woman". It is a glorious soul song. Why does no one else sing this kind of music, the pent up feeling of these songs? I love this song so much. I wish I had this song on an album. "When a Man Loves a Woman" is one of the few songs that has all the elements of a great soul record. The song is special and the soul records that have come out recently are out of this world. Perky Sledge is numero uno. d2c66b5586
